*Thomas Moore is appointed pilot of a privateer and engaged by Guillaume Gaillard command the ''La-Nostre-Dame-de-Victoire'' in a privateering expedition ''"against enemies of the state"'' in Cape Breton, Newfoundland, the Great Banks and elsewhere.
